A two day masterclass with the British fashion designer and professor Julian Roberts. He is not least known for having developed the cutting method that he calls ”subtraction cutting”.

Subtraction cutting is a pattern cutting technique, also called zero waste, which means to make the most of the negative spaces, using fabric pieces that are left over after cutting. It is a sort of mix between traditional fabric cutting and draping – and the result is experimental garments that challenges the shape of classic clothing.

Julian Roberts is a british fashion designer and filmmaker. He has showned his collections at London Fashion Week and also won the Brittish Fashion Council’s New Generation Award. He studied womens wear in Newcastle up on Tyne, and compleated his menswear MA at the Royal College of Art in London there he know lectures in MA Mixed Media Textiles. He has lead subtraction cutting courses in more than 17 countries world wild.
